Sir Terry Leahy in Wien: “Listen to the ordinary people”

 

Gestern auf der com.sult 2012 sprach u.a. auch Sir Terry Leahy, langjähriger CEO von Tesco.
Sein ebenso einfaches wie wirkungsvolles Credo, mit dem er sein Unternehmen zur Nr. 1 geführt hat:

“Listen to the ordinary people. They are your customers, and they know well about their lives. Don’t tell them how their lives should be – listen to them how they already are. And then find the best offer for that.”

“Listen to the ordinary employees. They execute your strategies, and they know well about daily operation’s performance and flaws. Don’t tell them how they should work – listen to their ideas and proposals. And then encourage them to make the change.”

Wir sind so frei ihn noch zu ergänzen:

“Listen to the ordinary Social Media-Users. They are passing on their opinion on your business. Don’t tell them anymore what it is in your eyes – see it with their eyes. And then improve it.”
